Position Summary

The Family Reunification Worker is responsible for providing intensive family preservation case management services with families working as a part of a team coordinating case management services with the program team leader and the referring worker and other service providers. Services take place in the family.

 

Flexible work schedule after an initial training period that includes working in the office and out of the office.

 

Annual Salary Range: $33,000.00 - $40,576.00

Essentials Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides case management and supportive services to families
  • Assesses family’s strengths, needs, and current level of functioning
  • Identifies and refers helpful community resources to families
  • Maintains consistent and regular contact with referring worker
  • Transports as needed
  • Completes necessary documentation and follow ups
  • Participates in sessions, reviews and meetings

  • Ability to forge a mutually respectful partnership with individuals and families in which they are helped to gain skills and confidence to address issues and problems
  • Knowledge of the Family Reunification Program philosophy and intervention strategies
  • Knowledge and skills in the area of substance abuse and co-occurring disorders

Recommended Employment Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field is required.

 

Experience:

A minimum of one year of experience in Child Welfare or in-home service work with families. Previous experience working with multi-problem children and families preferred.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

none required.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
