Position Summary

The Home Study/Post Release Services Program Supervisor is primarily responsible for overseeing case support and case manager staff to ensure adherence with job responsibilities, agency expectations, and provide a positive work environment. This position is responsible for coordinating case management, intakes and discharges of client cases, training new case managers, and supervising the work of other case managers. Bilingual (Spanish and English) strongly preferred.

 

Annual Salary Range: $52,000.00

Essentials Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conducts weekly supervision meetings with direct support staff to ensure adherence to the expected job responsibilities, provide feedback, and lend support.
  • Provides coverage support for case managers within the program, as needed.
  • Facilitates training for case support and case manager staff related to case management services for client's educational, therapeutic, medical, and legal needs.
  • Maintains and updates HS/PRS forms with Compliance Officer to maintain programmatic compliance.
  • Creates and implements new staff training for case support and case management staff, as needed.
  • Participates in client case reviews, as needed.
  • Attends HS/PRS network meetings, as necessary.
  • Provides informal peer-to-peer mentorship to new case managers, including encouragement, while also promoting positivity, accountability, and modeling professional demeanor.
  • Oversees required onboarding training completion compliance in accordance with Catholic Charities West Michigan (CCWM), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), and the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR).
  • Ensures compliance with required ongoing staff training in compliance with Catholic Charities West Michigan (CCWM), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), and the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR).
  • Attends regular meetings with Program Manager to consult on cases and review case plans and direction.
  • Stay up to date on Council on Accreditation (COA), United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), and the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) policies and procedures.
  • Conducts frequent concurrent audits to ensure data entry and client records are accurate and correct.
  • Maintains accurate, up-to-ate information on clients in care while meeting ORR and CCWM's documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Stays abreast of all agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements related to social services.
  • Drives for Agency business.
  • Performs other special assignments at supervisor’s request.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills in alignment with agency and program values, while also exhibiting a team-player attitude.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
  • Ability to relate to diverse populations and cultures while communicating with clients and the public in a courteous and effective manner.
  • Adheres to all agency and departmental safety procedures including reporting any unsafe practices, equipment and environment, and takes an active role in correcting the unsafe practice, equipment or environmental through proper notification channels.
  • Ability to work effectively on a multi-disciplinary treatment team.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients to help them adjust to new life circumstances.
  • Ability to provide excellent and compassionate customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgement, and a high level of confidentiality.
  • Computer and typing skills sufficient to perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to relate to diverse populations and cultures while communicating with clients and the public in a courteous and effective manner.
  • Drives for Agency business.
  • Performs other special assignments at supervisor’s request.

Recommended Employment Qualifications

Education:

 

A master’s degree in human services or behavioral services OR a bachelor's degree in human services or related field of study is required.

 

Experience:

 

A minimum of three years of prior case management experience in child and family services is required with a bachelor’s degree.

Bilingual Spanish/English fluency is strongly preferred.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

None required for this position.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:
